Referrals – The Power of Word-of-mouth Advertising

For us, client referrals are the driving force of our business. No amount of advertising and promotion has brought us better quality leads and long term accounts than a recommendation from a happy client.

All you have to do is ask
Simply ask your customer if he or she knows someone who might be interested in your products or service. When possible give them some extra business cards so they have to pass along. If you make new cards send them a few and ask them for referrals.

Be specific
Tell your customers exactly what it is you’re looking for. This will help to get leads from your target market. An incentive Make it worth your customer's time by offering valuable incentives for new referrals.

Build a customer community
Find ways to bring customers together with other customers. This might be a chat room, forum or blog on your web site or other customer events sponsored by your company. This brings a community of customers together and stimulates word-of-mouth.
